Women’s College Tennis Teams
#10 Ohio State University
Ohio State is coming off its third best season in program history. Faced with Big Ten conference rules that prevented fall play and restricted the 2021 spring season to conference-only competition, the Buckeyes still did a lot of winning last season.

#9 Texas A&M University
The Texas A&M women went 21-8 throughout the 2021 season and finished the year ranked #15. They started the season slow with perplexing losses to Florida, Kentucky, and Alabama — all particularly surprising given the uncharacteristically weak year for the SEC in 2021. The Aggies turned things around after that early April loss to Alabama. They went on to make their first SEC tournament final and beat #21 Northwestern on the road to qualify for the NCAA R16 before losing to #7 Florida State.

#10 University of Kentucky
The Kentucky Wildcats are bringing back just about every major contributor from a season ago, and Head Coach Cedric Kauffmann’s team should be ready to take another step forward in order to compete with the SEC’s best in 2022.

#9 University of Arizona
Head Coach Clancy Shields led his U of A program to new heights in 2021, and they’ll be looking to take another step forward as one of the elite squads in college tennis this spring. Almost every major contributor from last season’s round of 16 team will be back in action for the Wildcats, and the addition of a top incoming freshman recruit might be the perfect formula for a Pac-12 conference title in 2022.

Who Won the 2021 College Tennis Fall Season?
The conclusion of the 2021 ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego marks the end of the college tennis fall season. It’s the first time in two years that we’ve had a full fall season with both ITA majors (All-Americans, National Fall Championships) taking place. Given that, Cracked Racquets figured it was timely to hand out some awards for the superb performances we saw these past few months.
