College Tennis - NCAA Sweet 16!
As you know, we’re particularly fond of college tennis here at Cracked Racquets, which makes this time of the year especially fun. We set ourselves a bit of a challenge this week: in just 3 days, talk to the head coach of EVERY remaining team in the men’s and women’s championships. That’s 32 interviews…and we’ve got them all for you!
Follow this link to find each team’s episode and hear Gruskin’s conversations with the coaches of the best teams in the nation. Also, if you want to hear a recap of the men’s NCAA action thus far, you can find it here on the Great Shot Podcast!
Pro Tennis - Results from Rome
For both the ATP and WTA, the focus is on action in Rome! Nadal has already escaped a couple of very tight matches, Djokovic has asserted his dominance with a convincing win this morning, and Medvedev has continued to struggle on the clay. There is plenty of tennis left on the men’s side today, as Zverev is in a battle with Nishikori now while big names such as Rublev and Thiem will be in action this afternoon.
On the women’s side in Rome, #1 seed Ash Barty has cruised so far and is set to clash with American sensation Gauff, who upset Sabalenka earlier today. Muguruza and Svitolina are still on court, while players such as Swiatek, Pegula, and Ostapenko have already cemented their spots in the next round.
